It has always been KRING Technologies' declared intention
to be the leading Scandinavian company in the field of global
sourcing. A strategy, which is not carried out over night.
"Even for a company like KRING with its vast experience in
the area, establishing centres in new destinations is a demanding
process in terms of resources. One has to gain a thorough
understanding of the country's competencies, laws and business
culture." says Mikael Munck, CEO at KRING Technologies. "The
establishment of our development center in China marks our
presence in the top 3 most important global software development
centres. We are proud to have succeeded in our ambition of
being able to offer our Scandinavian clients optimal global
multi-site development."
KRING has prepared their entry on the Chinese market well.
Partly through general analyses of offshore destinations carried
out by KRING Global Advisory but also more specifically through
the employment of two Chinese employees. The latest person
from China to join the KRING team is Vensu Ko, a female MBA
student from Hong Kong. As part of her degree Vensu conducts
analyses for KRING Global Advisory on cultural differences
between China and Denmark. KRING makes every effort to promote
a multicultural work environment. So far, the KRING workforce
represents more than 10 different nationalities.
KRING has been operating in India and Ukraine for many years.
Both places were chosen for their qualified technical competencies
and their compatibility in regards to Danish culture. "We
are constantly on the look out for potential destinations
that can help us live our vision of delivering optimal global
sourcing strategy to Scandinavian clients." says Mikael Munck.
"We can't help it. It is our raison d'être, the foundation
of our business if you like, always to be one step ahead in
relation to the development of IT resources around the world.
Our focus on quality bids us to be very thorough when deciding
on new destinations. For us it is not about operating in as
many destinations as possible. It is all about the right destinations.
And by right we mean places that offer an attractive pool
of resources that match and relate to the other destinations,
where we operate. For our customers this means a reduction
of risks, excellent quality and savings on their software
development."
The low costs for Chinese resources are a major incitement
for KRINGs entry into the market. The prices are lower than
in e.g. India, where the price for an experienced engineer
has slowly gone up in the last couple of years. But another
reason why KRING chose China is to gain access to attractive
competencies in specific areas. The foci for KRING's activities
in China will be on PLC, SCADA programming and senior Java
and J2EE resources. |
