KRING designed & developed a comprehensive Online Hotline Booking Portal Application called www.europenights.com, for a UK-based organization. Europenights.com is built in MS.Net using KRING’s in-house CMS framework called SmartEdit.
The Hotel Booking Portal has an extensive Search Engine for the end-users to enter their travel destination & other details & search for Hotels appropriate to their need, and can then make online reservation.
The will also have the facility to book for Theatres, Cinemas, Operas, Taxis and Airport Transfer Cabs using the same Portal Application. The Portal Application also tracks & manages the reservation status & its notification and is integrated with the E-mail client & a third party fax application.
At the back-end the Portal application has a unique sign-in area for various establishments like Hotels, Theatres, Restaurants, Cinema Halls, Opera Houses, Guided Tour Operators, etc, for them to log-in & update their establishment details, availability, rates, etc.
The Application has a Super-Administrator module to manage end-users’ & establishments’ right & privileges. The Application has an integrated Content Management System (CMS) to upload, add, edit, or remove content to/from the website. At the back-end, the individual establishments can also use the CMS to manage their individual content.
The overall design & architecture of the Portal application is highly modular and component-based so as to facilitate gradual evolution of the Portal to incorporate more functionalities like Airline Ticket Reservation and Tour Planning.
The Portal Application front-end will initially have three colloquial versions targeting English, Spanish & Arabic languages & clientele and will then be enhanced to include more market segments. However, the back-end application logic & business rules will be same for all the geographies. The application is being developed using ASP.Net, HTML & MS SQL Server is back-end database. |
