On February 29, 2008, KRING Technologies in cooperation with PEAK Consulting Group held an interesting and educational seminar on the subject of Global Project Delivery.
The seminar focused both on cultural and communicational aspects of working across geographic borders and continents, as well as on a model for global project organisation.

Richard Gesteland
The programme featured Richard Gesteland, who has more than 40 years experience from all over the world, and is the author of several articles and books on managing globalisation and cross-cultural communication. Under the heading “Communicating, Negotiating, and Managing across Cultures,” Mr Gesteland spoke for two hours about the elements that anyone working and doing business across cultures should be aware of. Mr Gesteland spoke both of his commercial experiences, as well as of the private experience he has acquired through 40 years in a global context.
Key areas such as deal vs. relationship focus, direct vs. indirect communication, and formal vs. informal business behaviour, were some of the issues that Mr Gesteland addressed during his presentation.
Kiran Vas
Next, KRING’s own consultant Kiran Vas spoke about how he, as a Global Delivery Manager, handles the cultural aspect in the day-to-day running of projects. Both positive and negative examples were presented and used as a starting point for discussion and exchange of experience amongst the participants.
