As
an early mover in the offshoring market for software development
KRING has for long been on the leading edge. To stay in front
of their competitors and to support profitable growth KRING
has from the beginning had a strong focus on implementing best
practice processes through the entire company. As competition
rises KRING has held the leading edge by continuously improving
efficiency and product quality.
To follow up on previous process improvement activities like
implementation of Rational Unified Process, TSP/PSP and project
lifecycle tool support KRING Technologies has decided to re-launch
their CMMI level 3 certification process.
Mikael Munck, CEO: “As we expand our business into the
international market for high-end software solutions, we experience
tougher requirements from the customer in regard of process
documentation. CMMI is the international standard for documenting
process maturity, therefore the certification in a natural next
step for KRING”.
KRING expects to achieve CMMI level 3 during 1h 2007. The main
reason for implementing CMMI is to use it as yardstick for the
effect of process improvement initiatives.
"The primary reason for implementing CMMI is to measure
the effect of our on-going process improvement activities, but
as an important side effect we will be able to easily document
our software development capability towards the customers",
Niels H. Leist, Director Global Project.
As companies in India very early adopted the CMMI approach,
KRING has decided to locate the certification project to the
Indian office. An accredited Indian consultancy will work with
KRING to achieve the desired certification level.
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model® Integration) is a process
improvement approach for implementing efficient process throughout
an entire organization. CMMI maturity will benefit the company
with reduced costs, improved delivery schedules and better product
quality. |
