Last year KRING Technologies designed and developed a product
that secures a simple and intuitive connectivity for the mobile
user, irrespective of technology, whether it is 3G CDMA, EDGE
or WiFi.
Anyone who has tried connecting to the Internet while traveling
has faced the endless mayhem of getting the best out of the
vendor-provided configuration utility. What seems to be an easy
task becomes unnecessarily complicated because each manufacturer
of connectivity devices gives his application with the card.
The U.K based company ‘Cutting the Wires” offering
solutions to the mobile industry had a vision on creating a
unified solution that could connect all networks and by that
create a common platform for all cards no matter whether it
is says Nokia or Sony Ericsson on the phone.
One of the challenges faced by creating such a comprehensive
application is the number of hours required to develop and test
the overwhelmingly amount of cards and technologies available
in the market. To ensure that the application could become a
reality, Cutting the Wires were looking for a partner who could
ensure the quality and at the same time keep the development
budget at a reasonable level.
KRING Technologies was chosen because the requirement for highly
specialized resources with know –how in wireless technologies
could be met and at the same time the cost level was competitive.
The result is that Cutting the Wires today has a product called
‘Zafari Mobile’, which fulfills the vision without
compromising on neither the cost factor nor the time of launching.
In addition, a new version that among other things supports
video conferences and VoIP is in the pipeline.
