Offshore Engage
 
Kring has a fully functional development centre at Gurgaon, India. The development centre is a secure facility with restricted access and complete power back-up facilities. Kring is maintaining a 24 X 7 structured network with branded servers & development machines, RAID-5 data back-up, secure firewall, scalable Internet bandwidth and licensed software development environment.

Kring offers 100% offshore development services, where all the steps of the SDLC, right from initial requirement analysis to project initiation, design, development, testing and overall project management are accomplished at Kring’s India development centre. However, depending upon project dynamics, certain steps of the SDLC like initial requirement analysis, final delivery and end-user training can also be performed at client sites.

Kring firmly believes that effective communication between the clients’ and the development partner is must for the success of any project be it onsite, offshore or onsite/offshore. Another important criterion is the involvement of clients’ in the development life cycle.

The need for effective communication and client involvement becomes more pronounced in case of offshore and onsite/offshore development. Kring strongly encourages its clients’ to be a part of the offshore development team during the early stages of the project.

Kring has put in place an effective mechanism to ensure seamless communication between the client and Kring’s offshore development team.

  • Kring uses MS Project, Project Central and Share Point Portal Server based Project Management Application. The MS Project server is used for internal project management, the clients’ are provided with a login area, for them to monitor the project progress in real-time.
  • Kring manages the communication between the client and offshore team using multiple methods like VoIP & IP Phones, E-mail, IM and Audio-Video Conferencing.
  • Kring has comprehensive Risk Management, Change Management and Version Control processes to effectively manage offshore projects.
  • Kring follows the use-case based or design-based iterative ‘Prototyping’ approach, where clients’ functional requirements are translated into ‘look and feel’ prototypes and modules, before freezing the project scope and proceeding with the development.
  • Kring follows ISO 9000/SEI CMM benchmark quality standards in development life cycle, project management and documentation.

Prototyping

Kring creates templates & prototypes along with the UML Class diagrams on the basis of the client requirements & preliminary discussions. The templates & prototypes cater for GUI Design, ‘look & feel’, Form layouts, logical flow of functionality, database design, etc. These templates & prototypes are submitted to the clients, for any changes, else approval. The iterations continue till requirements are finalized.

Kring also creates an intuitive and comprehensive look & feel presentation of the finalized prototype, to explain the exact application/module functioning and workflow to the clients. The final presentation is done to ensure that clients’ business users have a visual experience & feel of the desired application/module, which helps in the better understanding of the exact functionality & any changes that can improve the user-friendliness of the desired application/module in an integrated environment.



Partner ODCs

Kring also sets Partner Offshore Development Centres (ODC) for its clients, where Kring enters into long-term offshore development associations with its clients.

Kring establishes and manages an ODC, which specifically caters to individual client’s requirements, in terms of technical skill pool, processes, project management and infrastructure.

Depending upon client requirements, Kring establishes an ODC infrastructure within its existing premises or separately, with hardware, software, network & bandwidth, requisite technical skills and project management tools.

The clients’ can involve themselves in the Project Management by being a part of their ODC at Kring – India or can remotely do the Project Management using Kring’ Project Management tools.
