As one of the largest pension fund management companies in Denmark is shifting their entire platform from Java to MS.Net – KRING Technologies stepped in and ensured that the client was able to launch the first part of the new platform in time.
The offshore development was facilitated by placing a Danish Project Manager and Senior Consultant at client’s site in Denmark, acting as a single-point-of-contact to the Indian development team.
The Java applications were analyzed and the existing documentation was reviewed and updated through the use of reverse engineering, as the original documentation was incomplete. The application supports a dual environment – enabling seamless handover between the existing application and the new platform.
- Development and operation was done within the premises of the client’s proprietary .Net framework
- In order to ensure full co-existence of the existing & new platform, the solution made use of new technologies from the unreleased MS.Net 2.0 framework
- Complete transparency from the data access layer, facilitated operational support of both the existing Oracle and the planned MS SQL RDBMS
- Also involved Project Management of reverse engineering, documentation of the existing application, development and user testing process
The application conforms to the industry standards along with individual requirements of the client – setting the bar even higher. |
