Summary of the article ”Think Globally from
the Outset” by Jesper Mulbjerg
Jesper Mulbjerg from Børsen talks to Martin
Thorborg, co-founder Spamfighter , in the article ”Think
Globally from the Outset”.
Spamfighter has developed a successful spamfilter that has achieved
an international breakthrough. This product is unique in that
Martin Thorborg and his to fellow co-founders of Spamfighter
thought globally from the start. Martin Thorborg points out
the importance of viewing globalization as an opportunity but
also that it is necessary to adapt both product and business
model to the individual markets.
Spamfighter had the good ideas but lacked the people to develop
them. Spamfighter contacted KRING Technologies after an unsuccessful
attempt at manage developers directly in Canada. The Danish
outsourcing company can provide highly skilled developers in
Ukraine which lets Spamfighter focus on their core competencies
while KRING Technologies develops the products. Martin Thorborg
calculates that this has led to a 30% increase in revenues and
he sees KRING Technologies as a sure bet.
