ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN PRIVATE HOMES
Core offering launched and Nordea commercial partnership operational
Status After extensive market research and experiments, we launched our initial offering of end-to-end residential heat source decarbonization in October. Bodil has since secured a non-exclusive distribution partnership with Nordea, who’s home-owner clients we’re helping decarbonize, with tailored recommendations for their homes. We have secured fulfilment partnerships with contractors, and are collaborating to improve efficiency and standardize quality control in our collective processes, in accordance to Danish Government and EU push to improve dimensioning and installation quality for heat pumps and Geo-thermal. In October, our platform served 230+ homes, corresponding to annual emissions savings potential of 532 tons, and USD 887,650 reduction in heating expenses.

Launch of online energy calculator Bodil has launched the Beta version of our online energy calculator, and successful embedded it in both our own website and on Nordea’s website: Try it here
Bodil staff The Bodil team has grown to five employees. Niklas Frijs-Madsen remains the only Co-founder, but the effort to attract and operations and possible technical co-founder are underway, with a target start date for January or February. Jonas Damm has Joined the team as a time-limited Junior Business Developer, and he will be joined mid-November by Søren Kruse, in the same role. Susie Frederiksen has joined Bodil as a part-time senior advisor on home physics, to heighten the technical knowledge level as new services are developed. Bodil has also hired two energy advisors, one full time, to lead the client-facing work of making home energy recommendations. Next steps Bodil’s key drive for Q4, is to secure the right Co-Founders, and attain funding to build out our platform, which is currently semi-handheld. In addition, we are working towards expanding our capabilities, to include home monitoring hardware and software, to be installed with during heat-source replacements.
