KRING has exited TestaViva

When founder-driven problem insight meets venture building in practice

TestaViva is a digital platform that makes it easy for individuals to handle everything from family law matters and inheritance cases to property purchases, estates, and prenuptial agreements. By combining digital solutions with expert legal advice, Danes have gained access to clear and affordable legal assistance.

At KRING, we clearly remember our first meetings with Michael Lauritzen back in 2016. At the time, he had already built his first companies and proven that the problem behind TestaViva was real. With a simple solution called Sikkerarv, he had attracted the first 1,000 customers. However, the ambition went far beyond a good product; the goal was to create a scalable, digital, and data-driven platform capable of changing the way people in Denmark manage legal matters.

“The first 1,000 customers showed that the market was there. Venture building is about the next step, structure, partnerships, and execution at scale. TestaViva is a strong example of what can happen when those elements come together,” says Martin Kring, Partner at KRING.

Michael Lauritzen, co-founder of TestaViva, adds:

“I had personally experienced how complex and overwhelming legal matters can be for ordinary people, and the consequences of not having things in order within a family. The first customers confirmed the need, but the collaboration with KRING made it possible to think bigger and create peace of mind for many more.”

Through close collaboration with the founder team and long-term strategic partners, TestaViva evolved from an early solution into a fully scalable platform. Today, the company represents a profitable growth case, combining market-leading partnerships with documented societal impact.

As part of the company’s continued development, Kenneth Krabbe was recruited as CEO and led TestaViva into a new phase focused on professional scaling, commercial strength, and profitable growth.

The solution now in place ensures that the co-founders and management become majority shareholders and can continue developing the company together with Dansk Ejerkapital. This creates continuity and a strong foundation for the next phase of TestaViva’s journey.

KRING would also like to thank Arbejdernes Landsbank, which believed early in the idea behind TestaViva as the first strategic co-creation partner and investor, and which, together with Nordea and TopDanmark/IF, has contributed to the company’s development through strong partnerships and professional collaboration.

Today, TestaViva has helped more than 150,000 people in Denmark gain clarity around legal matters such as wills, powers of attorney, and inheritance cases, issues that otherwise often come at a high cost, both financially and in terms of quality of life.

For KRING, TestaViva is a clear example of what can be achieved when founder-driven problem insight, long-term partnerships, and a structured venture-building setup are combined in practice. At the same time, the TestaViva journey illustrates how venture building can generate attractive, risk-adjusted returns, serving as a concrete proof point of venture building as an independent and compelling strategic asset class.

KRING wishes Dansk Ejerkapital and TestaViva’s management team every success on the journey ahead.
